Our Mission
Our Mission
The mission of Girls Camp is to implement and execute workshops for girls and women to prepare them to make healthy decisions to live a better life. The goal is to work with girls and women across the state of Virginia in impoverished communities to prepare them for adulthood and to create a community of educated, employed, and self-sufficient women.
These goals will be accomplished through the values of love, determination, hard work, and dedication to a better life.

Impactful Stories
I am so glad I completed WED Inc.’s Women’s Empowerment workshop! I was able to receive valuable resources to complete my master’s program, which allowed me to secure a position as Executive Director of a Behavioral Health Center, and with the encouragement of WED Inc., I am now enrolled in the Doctorate Program at Norfolk State University and will graduate in December of 2025!

I attended “Girls Camp” from middle school through high school, which provided me the resources and encouragement to pursue my dreams of leadership in the military. I graduated with Honors from Achievable Dream High School and am now stationed in Atlanta, Georgia to serve my country. The recruiters that WED Inc. introduced me to provided much-needed insight and encouragement to make my experience a positive one.

I attended WED Inc.’s Women’s Empowerment workshop in 2020 and was able to meet Ms. Tina, who encouraged me to finish Medical School post-divorce and being a single mother of four boys. She checked in with me quarterly for encouragement and constantly provided resources, which allowed me to finish medical school, and I am proud to announce that I am now an Orthopedic Surgeon and have moved into my new home in Texas!
